Self-Subs — New Subscription, Renewal & Upgrade

Initiative owned by the Bifrost team. Enables Billing V3 clients to independently subscribe, renew, and upgrade their Qontak main packages via self-service on /billing/topup, without sales team involvement. Paid SOs are generated only after successful payment via Mekari Pay.

Scope Changes

• Backend — Billing Service owns the self-subscription operation and SO-generation flow. Qontak keeps POST /api/core/v1/self_subscriptions as the stable authenticated proxy, derives company identity from the caller, and normalizes Billing responses. V3 eligibility remains Qontak-owned.
• Frontend — /billing/topup page additions (3 self-service CTAs gated by V3 + eligibility); Pending SO Warning Modal; Modpanel Disable Self-Renewal toggle per CID

Progress

Progress and forecast are withheld pending the Jira/code/task-breakdown reconciliation documented in delivery/status/2026-07-23.md. The Epic contains a ~3.5-md Jira-Done candidate set, but only BIF-8790's 0.5 md is currently tied to explicit merged-code evidence in the status history; neither figure is published as the canonical numerator.

QA Lane

Lane B — keeps a human QA gate. Money-critical: new subscription, renewal and upgrade flows involving payment and invoicing. No E2E test specs exist for this initiative yet, so the Lane-A entry bar (100% E2E, spec-mapped coverage) is unmet regardless. Classified by Yoddi, Izzul (QA), 2026-06-26.
